🏆 Hey, CFP® Professionals! 🏆 🎗️ R.E.M.ember this time, R.E.M.ember this tune. That’s great it starts with some click-bait, The out-of-touch cringe ad campaign, From C F P Board marketing. Lure in the youngbloods, promise of the big bucks, Board serves its own needs, are they non-fiduciary? Speed careers a notch, speed, grunt, no, strength, Job ladder starts to clatter Overpromise work-life-balance, Applicants perspire ‘cause There ain’t no work for hire on the Board job site. Told them ‘you’ll arrive’ in no time, But they’re just pulling strings tied to your head, arms, and checks. Static scenes, advisors baffled, trumped, tethered, shocked. Look at that bubble bath, fine, then, Uh oh, burritos, creep handshakin,’ napping dudes, NextGen youth, save yourself, serve yourself Board serves its own needs, shunning those who disagree. Tell me this irreverent rant just isn’t really true or fact or right. Right? The hyperbolic, non-symbolic, not quite, bad light, Slinging shameless sights. It’s the end of the marks as we know ‘em, It’s the end of the marks as we know ‘em, It’s the end of the marks as we know ‘em, And, I feel fine. Nice! I put ChatGPT to work to write it to Night Swimming: CFP fading, the ads just feel so wrong Cheap campaigns now drown the meaning I’ve held strong The letters lost their light, a weight I can’t abide Their shallow calls don’t match the purpose deep inside They push the gimmicks, but they don’t reflect the care Clients trust the work, not slogans in the air CFP fading, it’s time to let it go True value’s in the journey, not the show

This one goes out to the marks I love This one goes out to the marks I've left behind

Is it bad to admit that terrible campaign is part of why I gave up my marks after 5 yrs? Also the costs of maintaining them when they are only ancillary to my main professional role. I don't regret the studies - I love to learn. I would have kept the letters if they piggy-backed more off my CPA license (not added to the cost and yearly educational burden).
