40% of everything I've posted on LinkedIn in the past 3 years is about random things. I know this because I tag all my posts in Buffer, and my custom app shows me the total number of posts per category. Seeing those numbers was a bit of a wake up call that, despite having content pillars, I may just be phoning it in a lot. Are those posts actually useful to my goals, or are they just a crutch for me to post something so that I can stay consistent without actually saying anything? Here's what I'm doing now: drilling down into the data to see how the different tags (or content buckets) are performing. 1️⃣ The goal: What's mine this month or quarter? Is it engagement, impressions, shares, saves, or follower growth? 2️⃣ Which categories are doing most of the work towards that goal? 3️⃣ Am I actually posting enough in those categories? 4️⃣ Are the posts on varied topics within those categories, or am I saying the same thing over and over again? Then I'll go back to the AI chat and brainstorm post ideas to help me fill the categories that are important and I've been neglecting. No more posting just to post 🙅♀️ #BufferAPI
Love seeing your behind the scenes breakdown!
I saw a few posts earlier and got to know you've built something amazing for the same. I'd love to see how it works and if others can also use your system. Also Aleksandra have also shared about content buckets system recently, haven't tried it but was looking so helpful already Shivani Shah. I'm all ears to more about this 🙂↕️
