The companies getting real value from AI today usually aren’t the ones with the flashiest tools. They’re the ones with operational environments clean enough for AI outputs to actually be trusted. Which is why I don’t think ERP becomes less important in an AI economy. Spot on, Chirag Joshi. AI is great at automating repetitive tasks like writing emails or code, but it falls short on complex business logic. Every business has unique workflows, and when new data sources or custom processes are introduced, it takes a functional expert ,not just a code developer or an AI model, to understand the operational reality. If the foundation is broken, AI just hallucinates irrelevant solutions. ERPs remain essential because they enforce the actual business truth
