David Spector’s Post

Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Jason Collins after his battle with glioblastoma. Over the past several months, Jason and his husband Brunson generously supported efforts to raise awareness around this devastating disease. I had the opportunity to personally get to know Jason over several years and it is clear why he inspired so many people. He was incredibly genuine, thoughtful, courageous, and larger than life. Glioblastoma is relentless. Jason’s passing is a sobering reminder of the urgency behind the work being done by researchers, physicians, advocates, and families fighting to improve outcomes for patients facing this disease. We will honor Jason’s memory by continuing to fight even harder for better outcomes for patients and families facing this disease. May his memory be a blessing. Recently I have heard of more and more cases of people suffering from glioblastoma. Where once rare, is now commonplace. Thank you for honoring Jason’s campaign and helping spread awareness. So very sorry for your loss David.
