The Minister of the Environment, Climate Change and Nature has issued the environmental assessment decision for the Timiskaming Dam-Bridge of Quebec Replacement Project. The decision includes conditions to reduce adverse environmental effects on Indigenous rights and interests, the environment and Algonquin cultural heritage, among others. Mitigation measures will protect fish and fish habitat, guide safe in-water construction, and support Indigenous-led heritage recognition on the project’s site.
