David Allison’s Post

ASSOCIATION LEADERS who are looking for ways to 💰 increase revenue (without raising membership fees) know that their annual event is an ideal place to focus and find growth opportunities. For an absolute master class in how to do this, listen to this podcast episode featuring Lori Anderson, FASAE, CAE, the CEO of the International Sign Association for the last 20 years, and Christine Shaw, CEO of Naylor Associates, on the Association Advisor podcast. They walk through a simple and powerful way to increase engagement, trust, loyalty, and yes, financial commitment to your annual event, and this podcast episode breaks it all down for you. It is all about values of course! Because when you know what matters most to people, what they value, everything gets easier. 😊 https://lnkd.in/eREqhYwc

Love this David Allison. Association leaders are under so much pressure to grow revenue that it’s tempting to chase every new tactic, but your work is a needed reminder that the real unlock starts with understanding what members value at a human level, not just what they do or which segment they’re in. When strategy, events, and sponsorship offers are built on those shared values, “engagement” stops being a buzzword and starts showing up as renewals, referrals, and a community that feels genuinely seen and served.

David Allison...this is a smart episode to point people toward. Lori Anderson, FASAE, CAE and Christine Shaw are both having the conversation the association industry needs more of — annual events aren't a line item, they're the *highest-trust touchpoint* most associations have with their members all year. The leaders who treat them that way are the ones finding growth. I'm sharing!

Ways to support revenue, always worth a listen!
