Our Head of Sustainability, Carolina Angarita-Cala 🌿, took part in a panel discussion on ESG and SFDR 2.0 at the UCITS & AIFMD conference in Dublin recently. The discussion focused on the proposed changes under SFDR 2.0 and the continued evolution of the sustainable finance landscape. While discussions remain ongoing at European Parliament and Council level, the direction of travel is becoming clearer. There is an increasing emphasis on simpler, more decision-useful disclosures, clearer product identity and a stronger focus on credibility, comparability and real-world sustainability outcomes. Speaking about the event, Carolina added: “SFDR 2.0 should bring much-needed clarity to sustainable investing. The real challenge in the next phase of negotiations will be ensuring the framework is robust enough to reduce greenwashing and improve comparability, while remaining flexible enough to support sustainability outcomes at various stages of development.
