So many tech services companies are trying to figure out where AI services are heading and what it means for their business   Anthropic made a really interesting announcement last week. They’re launching an AI services venture and embedding engineers directly into client operations to redesign workflows that are tied to specific industries. The business model is to learn the industry and develop domain-specific modeling.   Most service providers are treating client engagements as a custom project, which doesn’t allow the learning to compound over time. What Anthropic is doing allows for every deployment to feed into the next one and build reusable workflows, integration templates and operational knowledge that gets better with scale.   For services companies, this is important because differentiation will be based on who controls the workflow redesign, who owns the integration into systems, and who manages AI behavior over time as each of those get harder to replace over time.   Providers with these workflow controls and data access stay embedded with their clients long-term and will be able to capture learning across clients and reuse these improvements at scale. So you’re service gets harder to displace with every new client you add.
