Precision Writing recently had the opportunity to demo Stackd by DesignTIME — an ERP platform built specifically for engineering and architecture firms by Bruce Johnston, P. Eng., MIStructE and the team at DesignTIME. What stood out immediately: PPMP requirements are built directly into the platform. For firms navigating Engineers and Geoscientists BC and The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) compliance, that's not a small thing. Having regulatory structure embedded into your project management workflow — rather than managed separately — changes how teams approach compliance from the ground up. The platform also brings together project management, time tracking, invoicing, and collaboration tools in one place, designed for the way AEC firms actually operate. Alexandra Harrison was genuinely impressed. If your firm is looking for software that treats compliance as a core feature, not an afterthought, Stackd is worth a closer look. → stackdsolutions.ca A big thank you to Bruce for the opportunity to take it for a spin — and congratulations on the launch!

Dream. Define. Design. Do. Four words. A complete system. Dream without defining stays a fantasy. Define without designing stays a wish. Design without doing stays a plan. Do all four - and you have a business that moves. Where are you stuck in the four steps right now? Where are you stuck in Dream, Define, Design, or Do? God's idea was that there must be light before anything is created, when he said "let there be light"! Let’s have vision and clarity before I design!! This was earliest indication of the need for clarity of direction and Intention before anything else, before action before construction, before design.. In the modern world, people of ideas are sometimes called thinkers, advisers, coaches or consultants. We bring ideas, clarity, and help clarify purpose. We bring inestimable value and are undervalued if we let the consumer do so. It's time the community of coaches come together to assert our true value. #valueofideas #ideasmatter #getlight #directionbeforespeed

🚀 The brief is the real work. Design comes later. Most delays, confusion, and rework don’t happen because of execution they start with an unclear brief. • Vague goals • Too many directions • No clear outcome And then we try to “fix it in design.” But good work doesn’t start on the screen. It starts with the right questions. Once the brief is clear, everything else moves faster. Clarity at the start saves everything later. #Workflow #CreativeProcess #AgencyLife #BrandClarity #Productivity #Growth

Meet Bright Side Bob. He’s a contractor who answers every single lead with enthusiasm. Website? “Absolutely!” Logo design? “I’ll make it amazing!” Social media help? “Let’s do it, bro!” Six months later, Bob is running on two hours of sleep, his delivery dates are slipping, and he’s making half the money he should. Bob isn’t lazy. He just forgot a critical business rule: Every yes to the wrong client is a no to the right one. At 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲, we see brilliant founders fall into the "Bright Side Bob" trap every day. Taking on bad-fit clients burns your mental energy, damages your reputation, and steals time from high-value prospects who genuinely respect your expertise. Your business doesn’t grow by doing more—it grows by being selective. The difference between chaos and clarity is qualification automation. With the TEA platform, you can build intake forms and smart pipelines that score leads automatically. Ask the right questions upfront, filter out the energy-drains, and save your zone of genius for the clients who are actually worth your time. 👇 READ THE FULL ARTICLE IN THE COMMENTS BELOW! #WorkSmarter #BuildWithTEA #SystemsOverHustle #ask4tea #ScaleWithClarity #CRMAutomation

Big ideas feel exciting. But they take time. So they stay unfinished. Fast ideas move forward. Make it measurable: Finish in 30 minutes Make it desirable: Quick wins Make it believable: Small gets done Quick win: Take your idea Simplify it Set a timer Finish and post That’s how you move. I used this to create outputs using ABK. Comment FAST and I’ll show you how I applied this. #fastwins #contentstrategy #digitalproducts #creatorgrowth #executionoverideas #buildfaster #onlinebusiness #lea

Good creative work usually comes from volume. A lot of ideas get pitched. Most don’t get selected. That’s part of the process. Sometimes the good idea comes after many average ones.

You don't need more leads. You need better ones. A firm doing $150,000 projects needs four to six serious conversations a month. Not hundreds of inquiries to sort through. Stop optimizing for volume. Start optimizing for fit.

I hope this makes sense enough Imagine you’ve just mapped out your week - the technical side of your project, the creative strategy, the actual time spent executing. On paper, it’s a tight, solid operation. Then, you try to summarize it for a friend. You start talking about the nuance of the craft, the backend of the strategy, and the specific goals you're chasing. They just look at you, blink, and change the subject. It’s a strange feeling: putting in work that consumes your entire focus, only to realize that to the outside world, it’s invisible. We can hide behind complex labels because we think it adds weight. It doesn’t. If the value isn't obvious the moment you step into the room - most likely - you aren't being complex—you're being noisy. You are a brand, and you are the only one responsible for its integrity. If others don't grasp the strategy, that’s not always a failure of my communication; it could also be a difference in the scope of operations. If the result isn't clear, you'll have to do a lot of explaining to make it feel real to someone else. Stop trying to convince the room to understand your process. Just show them the results and let them catch up. Stop explaining the architecture. Just build the house and let them stare. 46 of 50 #PersonalBrand #Strategy #RealTalk #UpadhiOscar

𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆" 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻… 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲. There’s almost always a polite pause, a sideways glance, or the classic “I’ll just ask this at a slightly lower volume…” 😅 Here’s the honest version: 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳 Some projects make sense as a flat fee. Others work better with a success‑based element. Sometimes it’s a mix of both. It all depends on what we’re trying to achieve and the shape of support that will actually help. But one thing that never changes - and anyone who’s worked with me knows this - is that I’m a people‑first operator. Fairness, transparency, and doing right by the partner always come before anything else. That’s the foundation I build every engagement on. Most of the time, it just takes a conversation (or two) to figure out what’s needed. Sometimes you come in with a clear brief. Sometimes you just know something isn’t quite clicking and want a sounding board. Either way is completely fine. So if you’ve been wondering what working together might look like, feel free to reach out. No pressure, just a chat to see if I can help https://lnkd.in/eZhbnCfq
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲? 💵 💶 💷 It’s a question I get a lot - and the honest answer is: 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴. Every studio is different. Every project is different. Sometimes you already know exactly what you need. Sometimes you need someone to help you figure that out. Both are totally fine. My approach is straightforward: • We talk • I understand what you’re trying to achieve • I shape support that’s fair, realistic, and genuinely useful Some projects work best with a flat fee. Others are success‑based. And some include both elements - it all depends on what makes the most sense for the work we’re doing together. What matters most is keeping things fair, transparent, and focused on value. You’re not paying for hours. You’re paying for experience, judgement, and the ability to help you make better strategic decisions. If you’re curious about whether I’m the right fit for your situation, just reach out. No pressure, no sales pitch, no upfront charge - just a chat to see what would genuinely move things forward for you! https://lnkd.in/etB8h3tv

Most prompt guides give you a list of prompts. This is different. A list of prompts is useful for a single task. A prompt system is useful for every task — because it tells you which prompt to use, when to use it, and what to do with the output before you move to the next stage. We built a prompt system that covers all four stages of a design workflow: Discovery, Ideation, Execution, and Delivery. Each stage has its own prompts, its own context requirements, and its own output standard. Swipe through to see the prompts for each stage.
