Louisiana is home to the first BEAD-funded tower in the country! Nextlink Internet recently activated the tower, bringing up to gigabit-speed internet to 104 locations across Bossier Parish via fixed wireless infrastructure. This makes Louisiana the first state to convert BEAD funding into live infrastructure, adding to our string of national firsts! Read more about the announcement: https://lnkd.in/epCCh6X2

Really fun to participate in these types of events to see our projects at work! The California Public Utilities Commission has made investments across the state that will catalyze broadband connectivity for communities that need it most. This project in Glenn County will provide up to 10 gigabit(!) fiber service to approximately 7,700 county residents, with over 100 miles of underground fiber deployed.
