Just few months ago, my LinkedIn was full of non-technical founders replacing tools with vibe coded apps over the weekend. Now it's quiet. Has the algorithm changed, or is it really over? I built handful of these myself, and none except one is still alive. Vibe coding made building everything very fast (and relatively cheap), but most of these things shouldn't have been built in the first place. Brings me to a question: anyone here is still using a vibe coded app months later? With real users, ideally saving / making money? If you were one of those people, I genuinely want to hear your experience and what kept it alive.

New Project I’m Starting A Smarter Movie Tracker called cineRoll As GenZStack moves closer to launch, I’ve started working on a new side project. It’s basically a to-do list… but for movies The idea is simple: help you track what you want to watch, what you’re currently watching, and what you’ve already watched all in one place. Here’s what it can do so far: • ➕ Add a movie with: • Title • Release year (optional) • Rating (optional) • Short note (optional) • Movie image (optional) • Every movie starts as “Not Watched” by default → You can move it to “Currently Watching” or “Watched” • Edit or delete any movie entry • Works offline first — and syncs automatically when you’re back online The goal is to keep it simple, fast, and actually useful not another bloated app. Still early, but I’ll be building this in public as well. A weekend for parents, a legacy for a lifetime. Yesterday was Parents’ Day in Korea, and tomorrow is Mother’s Day in the Netherlands. Today, my family gathered for dinner (in Korea), and I told them what I’ve been building for the Lovable x Wispr Flow #BuiltForMoms contest. The concept is simple but vital: A secure digital vault to organize the "logistics of legacy". Everything from funeral music and bank passwords to legal documents, so that children aren't left with a paperwork nightmare during a time of grief. My mom is from the Netherlands, so while I built an English version for demo purposes, the heart of the app is completely in Dutch. However, after showing it to my family at dinner tonight, their excitement was so infectious that I knew I couldn't stop there. Because our family is a blend of cultures, I spent the evening ensuring the app is now fully available in Korean as well. This isn't just a basic checklist; it’s a robust platform built for security and global scale. - Modern Stack: Built using TanStack Start (React 19 + Vite 7) and Tailwind v4 for a lightning-fast, high-contrast UI tailored for seniors. - Global i18n: Implemented a custom language provider supporting English (en), Korean (kr), and Dutch (nl) with dictionary parity and browser-language detection. - Secure Architecture: Built on Lovable Cloud (Supabase) with Row Level Security and a dedicated user_roles system to ensure private documents stay private. - The Vault: A centralized location for the "Source of Truth"—making sure the people who need access have it when it matters most. I want to thank #Lovable for providing the tools to build something this sophisticated so quickly. I built SeanVGO because I needed a way to organize my games in one place and I figured I can build a platform for it myself. I am building Effectiveness Dex to help people who get confused when looking at the Pokémon Type Chart. A lot of people that hope to make it in our industry tend to get lost in the sauce of simply building software to get noticed, when in reality they are forgetting that we're all still engineers at the end of the day. We see a problem, we think of a solution. We go out and build it to the best of our ability....and with the help of AI as needed. It doesn't have to be anything groundbreaking. You don't have to constantly commit to GitHub's Top Open Source Projects. Just *something* that solves a problem in your life. I’ve been using the site "Rentry" to document build notes for my private playtest community, but it’s starting to feel a bit too informal as the project scales. I want my changelogs to be professional, easy to navigate, and most importantly valuable for my users.
