I’ve been deep in conversations with schools, and one thing keeps coming up. Schools want to teach children about technology, AI, and online safety… but they don’t want to increase screen time to do it. That’s exactly why they love Kids in Cyber® We’ve developed a platform that helps schools deliver computing, online safety, and citizenship in a way that is: ➡️ Engaging for pupils ➡️ Easy for teachers to deliver ➡️ Doesn’t rely on putting children on devices We use storytelling, characters, and vicarious learning to bring topics to life, giving children the space to think, question, and develop real understanding of the digital world. It’s not passive learning. It’s about building critical thinking and giving children agency. This approach has been really well received by headteachers and education leads across the UK, and we’re now starting to see interest internationally too. And it’s not just a platform. We also provide CPD for teachers, so schools feel confident delivering these topics in the classroom and embedding them properly across the curriculum. Because the goal isn’t just to tick a box, it’s to make this learning meaningful and lasting. If you’re a school thinking about how to approach digital literacy, AI, and online safety in a way that actually works, created by real cyber experts and reviewed by teachers? I’d love to show you what we’re building. Get in touch to arrange a demo and see how Kids in Cyber could support your school.

Pardafas and ShareHub reported this weekend that Techpaila Innovation has launched AI and cybersecurity education programmes in Nepal, in partnership with NCC Education UK, aimed at Grades 11 and 12 students. This is a useful signal. AI and cyber skills are moving into the school-age conversation, not only college or workplace training. The opportunity for Nepal is bigger than adding another course label. Students need practical skills, but they also need judgment. A good AI and cyber programme should help them answer questions like: 1. How does AI produce an answer, and where can it go wrong? 2. How do students check sources instead of copying outputs? 3. What private data should never go into AI tools? 4. How do phishing, deepfakes, and fake official-looking content mislead people? 5. How can AI help with learning, projects, coding, research, and communication without replacing effort? 6. What should teachers and parents know before students use these tools every day? Nepal needs more AI and cybersecurity education. The quality question matters just as much as access. If programmes are practical, safe, and teacher-supported, they can help students prepare for real work. If they become only certificates and tool demos, the gap remains. AIducation Nepal helps schools, colleges, and teams build practical AI readiness: policy, teacher training, student AI literacy, safe use, and everyday workflows. “While the future may not be determined, it will be determined by the generation who come next,” said keynote speaker Brian Michael Murphy at VSAC's annual Transition conference. About 160 educators from across the region discussed how schools can adapt to rapidly changing technology and prepare students for the future. VSAC’s Patrick Leduc said students are entering a world that will look very different from today, and it's important to give them as many opportunities as possible. Educators also dug into topics from tech trends and phone-free policies to career connections and development, student engagement, cybersecurity, and literacy and STEM. Thanks to all who joined us for the 21st annual gathering! https://lnkd.in/euj6VnUV

If we want teachers to spend more time teaching, we have to get serious about the basics and the evidence. I like how this roadmap pairs better connectivity with practical proof on what EdTech actually improves outcomes and reduces workload. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #EdTech #Education #Teaching #Teachers #Schools #DigitalTransformation #Innovation #CyberSecurity #FutureOfWork #StudentSuccess https://buff.ly/YgIFmJO

I just published a new Brewing Innovation post summarizing CoSN’s U.S. State of EdTech 2026 report. The biggest takeaway: EdTech in 2026 is not really about devices anymore. It is about systems. Cybersecurity, AI literacy, access, instructional support, staffing, procurement, data privacy, screen time concerns, and family trust are all part of the same conversation now. My big argument in the post is that: Technology is not the strategy. The system is the strategy. The districts that thrive will not be the ones with the most tools. They will be the ones with the clearest purpose, strongest guardrails, best communication, and deepest investment in people. Would love to hear how other districts are thinking about AI, cybersecurity, instructional support, and purposeful tech use this year. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/ekJ_uC-W

AI literacy can’t just be about tools. It has to be about judgment, safety, media, digital citizenship, and helping students understand the world they are already living in. Excited to join this conversation with Dr. Pamela Rutledge, and Diana Graber.
