The Greater Irvine Chamber convened its NonProfit Advisory Council, bringing together leaders from across the nonprofit and business communities to support one of the Chamber’s key strategic pillars: strengthening the nonprofit sector. During the meeting, the group discussed key challenges and opportunities facing nonprofits and aligned on four priority initiatives that will guide their work moving forward. The Council will begin diving deeper into the first initiative at the next session. In Wyoming, an estimated $24 billion in wealth will transfer between generations by 2034. Through the 5 to Thrive initiative, the Wyoming Community Foundation is inviting donors to imagine a different future — one where 5% of that wealth is reinvested locally to support the communities they care about most. Earlier this year, eligible local nonprofit organizations submitted applications for funding. Community volunteers, corporate partners, and subject matter experts review and evaluate each application. This process helps ensure funding decisions are thoughtful, informed, and grounded in the needs of our community.
