Global CBPRs Promote Regulatory Convergence in Data Governance

This title was summarized by AI from the post below.

Just back from a great week with the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum in Lima! 🦙 The Global CBPRs promote much needed regulatory convergence across privacy laws and enable companies to demonstrate best practice in global data governance. Much discussion on how data flows frameworks fit in with the current focus on sovereignty and AI. I also got the chance to present ITI's paper on Privacy and Generative AI and talk about how privacy is one segment of a much wider AI debate rewiring the global policy landscape. The data privacy community has to put its objectives within this larger context and the Global CBPRs are a great example of a flexible tool that can respond to these shifts.
