TOMORROW during #RSAC, we’re releasing Nightfall AI’s first research report of the year: the 2026 Agentic AI Risk and Action Report. Built on real-world data from enterprise environments, this report goes beyond surveys to provide a clear view into how AI — especially agents — is reshaping how data moves, where risk is emerging, and what organizations need to do next. As AI becomes more deeply embedded across SaaS, endpoints, and workflows, understanding data exposure is no longer optional — it’s foundational. This report is designed to help security leaders navigate that shift with clarity and confidence. If you’re at RSAC this week, we’d love to connect. Otherwise, stay tuned for the release tomorrow. #RSAC #RSA #Cybersecurity #DataSecurity #AI #AIAgents #DLP

This week, I attended RSAC 2026 with two main goals: to understand how AI adoption is progressing in the cybersecurity field, and to learn more about the startup landscape - from VCs' perspectives to today’s most innovative companies. What I heard (and some very interesting conversations) surprised me. Being in San Francisco, it’s easy to get a sense of how fast AI is moving - just walk outside. From banners on every corner to Waymo cars driving through the city (I counted six at one intersection, compared to four in 2024), it feels like AI is already everywhere. But inside the conference, the picture is more mixed. Even large companies remain quite cautious about AI. My rough takeaway: around 30 - 40% adoption, with most use cases focused on SOCs. Another interesting (and somewhat disappointing) observation: many companies are still hesitant to work with AI startups. Instead, they tend to rely on just 2–3 of the largest players. It raises questions about how innovation will scale in cybersecurity. That said, RSAC for me is always about people. Three conversations that stood out: – The most inspiring: Vasu Jakkal, CVP, Microsoft Security – The most eye-opening: Anton Chuvakin, Security Advisor, Office of the CISO, Google Cloud – The most engaging: Emma Fadlon, Program Director, CyberASAP at Innovate UK And a personal note - I didn’t plan to celebrate my birthday at a cybersecurity conference, but having Hugh Jackman as part of it made it memorable. #RSAC2026 #Cybersecurity #AI #securityresearch

🚀 Revolutionizing Zero Trust: AI-Powered Segmentation is Here! Modern business environments never stand still—and neither do the threats they face. Today, Akamai Technologies is proud to announce a major evolution in cybersecurity: AI-powered capabilities for Akamai Guardicore Segmentation. Traditional microsegmentation can be a manual, daunting process that leaves security teams "afraid to enforce." We’re changing that equation. By leveraging AI to identify, analyze, and interpret application behavior, we’re making Zero Trust faster, safer, and more scalable than ever before. What’s new? 🔍 Continuous Discovery: Real-time visibility into your entire network. 🤖 AI-Driven Policy Generation: Automatically create and explain enforcement-ready policies at scale. ⚖️ Proof-Driven Enforcement: Simulate impact and validate readiness before you hit "enforce" to eliminate operational risk. 🛡️ Continuous Risk Containment: Reduce the blast radius of attacks by feeding AI insights directly into policy actions. Stop guessing and start enforcing with confidence. Whether you’re managing Hybrid IT, Cloud, or Kubernetes, it’s time to stay ahead of AI-powered threats with AI-powered defense. See the comments for a link to the full announcement. To learn more, stop by Akamai’s booth N-6245 at this year’s RSA Conference. #Akamai #Guardicore #Cybersecurity #ZeroTrust #AI #Microsegmentation #InfoSec #RSAC

Today at RSAC Conference 2026, we made a declaration about the future of cybersecurity—and our role in shaping it. We are entering a new era. One where speed, scale, and intelligence are no longer optional. Where AI isn’t just a feature—it’s the foundation. And where security teams don’t just react… they outpace. That’s why we launched the Aurora Superintelligence Platform. This isn’t incremental innovation. It’s a complete redefinition of security operations. With our Agentic SOC, powered by a Swarm of Experts™, we’re fusing AI-driven autonomy with human-validated precision—delivering outcomes that are faster, smarter, and more reliable than anything in the market today. And we’re not doing it alone. Our strategic partnership with Wiz closes one of the biggest gaps in cybersecurity—connecting cloud detection to real-world response with speed and clarity organizations have been missing. Let’s be clear: While others experiment with AI, we’ve operationalized it. While others extend legacy SOC models, we’ve reinvented them. This is a market-defining leap! A new standard for what security operations should be. And a critical step toward our mission to end cyber risk. Proud of this team. Proud of what we’ve built. And even more excited for what comes next. This is our moment. #RSAC2026 #Cybersecurity #AI #SecurityOperations #ArcticWolf

AI improves efficiency but fuels deepfakes. Cloud drives scale but expands attack surfaces. AI drives efficiency — and enables deepfakes. Cloud accelerates scale — and expands attack surfaces. Every technology has a duality: value on one side, vulnerability on the other. In this video, IANS Faculty J Wolfgang Goerlich explores why overlooking that downside leads to product gaps, vendor risk, infrastructure holes, and growing tech debt — and why community collaboration is critical to staying ahead. Technology isn’t slowing down. Risk isn’t either. 📘 Download the report, AI Heading into 2026, for a deep dive into the latest AI cyber trends: https://bit.ly/4asDnyD #CyberSecurity #Innovation #AI #CloudSecurity #RiskManagement

AI Security: Where Is This Really Headed? A decade ago, machine learning quietly transformed cybersecurity — spotting patterns and predicting attacks faster than humans ever could. Today, Generative AI promises even more: analyzing massive amounts of code, infrastructure, and behavior data to detect threats, uncover vulnerabilities, and auto-remediate. But there’s a big catch: GenAI only hits its full potential with complete, unthrottled access to all our data. Cloud costs and strict sovereignty/privacy rules often force compromises. So we’re looking at a split: - Platforms that see everything - Platforms that don’t I’ve been reflecting on this after reading Nir Zuk's recent Substack post “Is AI killing cybersecurity?” — he nails the data-access challenge perfectly. Having had the pleasure of lunch with Nir back in 2013 at a cybersecurity conference in Washington DC, it’s fascinating to see him now tackling exactly this problem. He just founded a new company called Cylake to build sovereign, on-premises AI-native platforms that give organizations full control with zero trade-offs. Is this the future? I’m not sure. Cloud providers might adapt, hybrid models could emerge… or maybe on-prem AI-native solutions will win for the most sensitive environments. What do you think — how do you see AI security evolving in the next 3–5 years? #AISecurity #Cybersecurity #DataSovereignty #Cylake
