CSA Group Establishes US HQ in Greater Cleveland

DEVELOPMENT – Industrial EX-FORD FACTORY REBORN AS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE ADDRESS: 1727-1787 Sydney Road, Campbellfield, Victoria. Pelligra Group last week turned the first sod to mark construction of a large scale employment hub on the site of the ex-Ford manufacturing plant in Campbellfield. The first of four stages includes a subdivision with lots from 2100 square metres to 10.3 hectares. Development manager Citinova is responsible for the delivery and sales. Two major development projects in Greater Cleveland are moving forward with support from the Port of Cleveland. In Brecksville, the final parcel at Valor Acres will become the new U.S. headquarters for CSA Group. The $102M project, developed by DiGeronimo Companies, will deliver a 292,000-square-foot campus, retaining 180 jobs and creating 81 new roles. In Downtown Cleveland, the Holiday Inn Express within the historic Guardian Bank Building will be redeveloped into a 141-room AC Marriott hotel. I hadn’t been out by the area that became Valor Acres in quite a while, and I have to say I was amazed when I visited the new Flour recently. Wow! This once a familiar stretch of land has transformed into an entirely new neighborhood. Seeing it up close was a powerful reminder that development in our region isn’t happening only downtown — it’s unfolding across communities throughout Greater Cleveland. And projects like the new U.S. headquarters for CSA Testing & Certification and the redevelopment of the historic Guardian Bank Building downtown show the many ways growth is taking shape — from new innovation campuses to the reinvention of historic buildings. The spec building at the 77-acre SiteOhio Authenticated site will be supported by a $2 million JobsOhio Grant through the Ohio Site Inventory Program (OSIP). “The spec building at Dan Evans Industrial Park will be a vital driver of business expansion and job creation in Gallia County,” said JobsOhio President and CEO JP Nauseef. “Investing in the site alongside state and local partners empowers Southeast Ohio to further build on its manufacturing legacy, with new companies having the opportunity to quickly utilize an exceptional speculative building upon completion.” The overall investment of over $6.1 million includes site preparation and the construction of a new 50,000 square-foot building that will be expandable to 250,000 square feet.
