I was delighted and honored to meet Prof Kamakoti Veezhinathan at the Swayam Plus anniversary celebration. His speech was insightful and inspiring, with an interesting perspective on how engineers in the core industry sustain and grow very successfully as they peak in the advanced stage of their career trajectory. The initial lucrative salary in the software industry might be very attractive, but the long-term career stability would be challenging, especially in this AI era. Absolutely! It truly resonated with me, as a core EEE engineer and entrepreneur working in semiconductors. Now I am enjoying my legacy – core domain expertise - and growing successfully in my career. Also, as an EdTech entrepreneur, I am now energized by his speech to inspire the next-gen engineers to work in the core industry – semiconductors. It was a pleasure visiting the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and engaging with the faculty and the SWAYAM Plus team.
