At Frontiers in Communications and Networks, we’re excited to explore techniques to utilize predictive, adaptive, and AI-driven strategies using digital twins that prevent manifest cybersecurity attacks that disruptive and paralyze communication networks. Under the leadership of Mohammed Elhajj, Dr Mohammad Faisal, Ella Pereira and Dr. Sunil Prajapat, we invite contributions from researchers, practitioners, and policy experts focusing on the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and digital twins. Day 2 of our cybersecurity conference CPT - Connect. Protect. Transform. is over, and with it another day of panel discussions and masterclasses. One of my main takeaways came from the keynote by Henning Beck on AI and the human brain. His central point: humans can unlearn, but they cannot “de-understand.” AI can combine information and retrieve logical outputs, but it does not truly understand meaning or generate ideas in the same way humans do. Creative understanding - the ability to reinterpret knowledge and form new perspectives - remains a distinctly human capability. Thanks to all colleagues who helped make this event possible 💚 If you missed it this year, mark your calendar for CPT 2027 in Munich. We already have the first speakers confirmed. Stay tuned 😎

This month, Infinum hosted an invite-only evening at The Groucho Club, bringing together cybersecurity and tech leaders for a candid conversation on what 2025 revealed, and what organisations need to do differently in 2026. With insights from Kam Karaji MSyI MCIIS (National Football League (NFL)), AMR's martin walsham, Eric Alter (EA AI), and expertly moderated by Debbie Jones from PRPR, the discussion explored evolving threats, AI risk, and the realities organisations are facing right now. Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a great evening. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dB5AYftm

"Anyone can potentially hack AI." — that's how the day ended with a show of Inti De Ceukelaire at BE-CEC yesterday. Between NIS2, CSA2, and the daily reality of the CISO role, there was plenty to think about. What I appreciated most: the candid conversations with peers facing the same challenges — different organizations, same headaches. Good day in Mechelen. Thanks Luc Brouwers for bringing the Belgian Cybersecurity Executives community together.

As RSAC Conference 2026 kicks off, I keep coming back to the same thought: the vibe-gentic noise may be deafening, but there is tremendous potential in the signal underneath. Lots of passionate, thoughtful experts discussing resilience-in-depth, safeguarding cyber-physical systems in the face of growing resource disparities, using autonomous systems effectively, and more. I have the privilege of talking with 3 of those experts (Taesoo Kim , Michael Brown , Tyler Nighswander) on stage later this week. If you’re interested in learning about what they’ve been up to and learned since winning AIxCC this past August, please join us at “Automated Cyber Defense: Lessons from DARPA’s AI Cyber Challenge” at 12:20 PM PDT on Thursday in Moscone South 202. https://lnkd.in/eNbcdrVY

Yes the gap is real! AI is accelerating rapidly, but governance is still catching up. From an AI risk perspective, this gap highlights the urgent need for robust safety, ethical standards, and proactive risk management to prevent unintended consequences. #AI #AIGovernance #AIRisk #EthicalAI #ResponsibleAI #TechSafety #Innovation #GRC

McKinsey partner Charlie Lewis was on-site at #RSAC2026 in San Francisco. He shared what he’s hearing on the ground about the rapid rise of agentic AI and its implications for cybersecurity. As conversations evolve, one thing is clear: agentic AI is quickly becoming a central theme shaping the future of the industry. Stay tuned for more!
