Un Mar De Colores’ Post

Do you run an equity-focused nonprofit that uses local parks or beaches for programming? A recently enacted law we’ve supported, AB 2939, is designed to make your work easier — reducing time spent navigating permits and fees and increasing time spent doing what matters most: connecting communities to the outdoors. AB 2939 creates a new pathway for eligible nonprofits and Tribes to access local parks and beaches with fewer barriers. The law is intended to expand programming opportunities, reduce administrative hurdles, and make outdoor experiences more accessible for youth and families. If your equity focused organization has ever struggled with complicated permitting processes or high access costs, this info session is for you. Outdoor Outreach, Un Mar de Colores, and PADDLE FOR PEACE invite you to join our upcoming info session to learn how AB 2939 can support your programs and expand equitable access to public outdoor spaces. Thursday, February 26 · 5:00–6:00 PM During the session we’ll cover: • Why this law was created and what it does • Who is eligible • How implementation is taking shape and available resources • Live Q&A RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/g8ipypAF Please share with organizations or partners who may benefit.
