Just want to shout out Common Room for hosting such a thoughtful and well executed dinner at Mexta earlier this week in Austin. It never gets old connecting with sales and marketing leaders who are navigating the same challenges day in and day out. There is something powerful about being in a room where everyone speaks the same language and understands the pressure, tradeoffs, and realities of the work. One attendee summed it up perfectly by saying, “This is a safe space.” It was funny, but also spot on. It created space for honest conversations, real examples, and shared learning instead of surface level talk. Big credit to Matzen Shirley, Dan Brayton, and Chris Nethercote for guiding the discussion and being such gracious hosts. Great people, great conversation, and a reminder of how valuable it is to learn from peers who are in it with you.
Great having you in the room Corey!

1moAll vendors that wish to be seen as strategic success partners (not just 'yet another vendor') needs to run dinners like this. - existing and wishlist customers talking about shared challenges that you can help with - ppl are more open - existing customers can sell the wishlist customers into the solution So many benefits.
