Anysphere's acquisition of Graphite caught my attention as an MCA student diving deep into full-stack development. My take: This move validates what many of us in development are experiencing. AI tools like Cursor are making code writing faster than ever. But the review process? Still manual. Still slow. This development could significantly impact my team projects at university. We're already seeing how AI speeds up initial coding. But peer reviews and mentor feedback remain the slowest part of our development cycle. Looking ahead, I foresee that AI-powered review workflows will reshape how we learn and collaborate in development teams. As someone preparing for internships, understanding these tools early gives a competitive edge. -> I built an AI powered system that actually understands student answers Manual answer checking is time consuming, inconsistent, and mentally draining. Instead of just discussing AI in theory, I wanted to build something that solves this problem in a practical way. -> What this project does This is an AI powered booklet review system that evaluates student answers the way a human evaluator would. It allows you to • Upload student answer sheets • Define a structured answer key • Analyze responses based on meaning, context, and intent • Generate marks along with qualitative feedback • Maintain consistency across all evaluations Rather than matching keywords, the system focuses on whether the student actually understood the concept. -> How the system works behind the scenes • Built a clean and responsive frontend using React and TypeScript • Integrated Google Gemini API to perform contextual answer evaluation • Designed prompts and logic to reduce hallucinations and improve scoring reliability • Structured evaluation output so results remain explainable and transparent One of the hardest parts was not the UI. It was teaching the system to evaluate answers logically and fairly. This required multiple iterations, debugging AI outputs, refining prompts, and redesigning the evaluation flow until the results felt meaningful and usable. -> Why this matters This system can be applied to • Colleges and universities • Coaching institutes and online learning platforms • Any assessment system that needs scalable and unbiased evaluation It reduces manual effort while improving accuracy and consistency. I strongly believe good projects should reflect problem solving and decision making, not just the tech stack. 🐾 Pet Assistant Chatbot | AI Web Application At first, I believed that building an AI chatbot was a very complex and difficult task, something that required deep expertise and advanced knowledge. I always thought AI systems were beyond my reach. During my internship, my mam Thayammal S helped change that mindset. She introduced me to the idea that AI can be built step by step, and that even beginners can create powerful applications by connecting APIs and understanding the flow, rather than overthinking the complexity. With that motivation, I decided to challenge myself and build this Pet Assistant Chatbot. This project is a domain-specific AI chatbot designed to assist pet owners by answering questions related to pet food, health, grooming, behavior, and daily care. It is built using Flask, JavaScript, and an LLM API, and features a modern glassmorphism UI with animated video background, providing both functionality and a visually pleasing user experience. Through this project, I learned: How AI chatbots work behind the scenes How to integrate LLM APIs into real applications How frontend and backend communicate That AI is not scary when approached practically This project completely changed my perspective on AI — what once felt impossible became achievable with the right guidance and practice. Yes. Important? Also Yes. I used: • Polite language • “Thanks” after tasks • Friendly / bro tone Why? Because AI is trained on human interaction, and clear + respectful prompts give better outputs. As an introvert, this approach also helped me: ✔ Stay confident ✔ Reduce hesitation ✔ Communicate better (even with AI) 💡 Tip for developers: AI is not magic.
