It’s Official – The Revamped Store Leader Bench Readiness (SLBR) Program is LIVE! Today marks a huge milestone in leadership development at King Soopers/City Market —and I couldn’t be more excited to announce the launch of our fully reimagined 8-week SLBR Program! After months of collaboration, planning, and feedback, over 80% of this program has been redesigned to create a real-world, in-store leadership experience that challenges and prepares Assistant Store Leaders to step confidently into Store Leader roles. From passion for people to crisis management and full store operations—this is leadership development done right. And I’m especially proud to share that our first cohort includes three high-performing leaders: ✨ Keenan Morris ✨ Devin Burke ✨ Tawnia Weber These rising stars will spend the next 8 weeks fully immersed in store leadership rotations, weekly leadership challenges, and a final validation process that will stretch their growth and sharpen their impact. I’m incredibly honored to walk alongside them on this journey. Special thanks to Maryah Sowal for helping draft the initial vision of this program—and to all the leaders who provided thoughtful feedback and helped shape it into what it is today. A huge shoutout to Tyler Hall, Kroger’s Leadership Development Program Manager, for his collaboration and partnership to bring this program to life.
