BCV Labs' NYC event last night was a blast! This may look like stand-up comedy; in fact, it's a series of two-minute pitches from some incredibly talented founders. Some have launched (like Geng Sng at Cogent Security and Josh Sach at Meela Inc.), some are in stealth (you'll have to ask Nikhil Aggarwal what he's up to), and others are somewhere in between (stay tuned for more from Sam Kececi at The Sentience Company soon). Anyone interested in the startup scene in New York, should connect with William Eleazer and he'll hook you up.
Thank you guys for hosting! Glad I was able to make it William Eleazer Aaref Hilaly
Sounds like a great way to spot raw energy before the polish, especially when the crowd laughs along.
These keep getting better and better! BCV Labs 🤝 NYC
Survival has never been this real—or this entertaining. In OUT OF PLACE, Jacob Paul Fry is dropped into Alaska with zero skills, guided full-time by Cole Sturgis—where failure becomes the feature. Pitch: We start with immersive Montana training, then launch into Alaska’s unforgiving wild. Cole never leaves his side—mentoring, correcting, and stepping in when it counts. Jacob can’t even start a fire—and that’s exactly why audiences will be hooked. Status: Cast locked. Cameras ready. Seeking bold partners.
I have serious FOMO at not attending this
Two-minute pitches are underrated as a format. Forces founders to cut everything that isn't the core insight. Most product problems I see come from the opposite - teams that never had to explain their value in 120 seconds and built accordingly.
Giving founders just a mic and a few minutes really shows who can hold a room without a slide deck.
Treating a pitch night like a comedy gig probably takes a lot of the usual pressure off the founders.
Love this!

1wCramming an entire startup pitch into two minutes means founders actually have to drop the fluff and get straight to the point.
