- [Instructor] Now, it may seem obvious, but if you want to join or host a Zoom meeting, you'll need at least a microphone if you want to be heard and a camera, if it's a video meeting and you want to be seen as well. Most laptops and many desktop computers have those built in. And if you don't have them built in, you can connect an inexpensive USB webcam and that will add a camera and a microphone at the same time. But it's a really good idea to test your system to make sure the camera, microphone, and other hardware are compatible and working with Zoom. And again, you should do this sort of thing well before you enter your first meeting, so you're not troubleshooting when you should be in your meeting. So here in the Zoom desktop app, I'm going to click my icon here in the upper right hand corner of the window, and I'll come down to Settings, and I'll select the Video category here on the left.
