- [Instructor] One of the advantages of email is that when people repeatedly reply to the same message, you can easily search or scroll back through the messages and understand the history of the conversation. But we've all been on email threads that start out as one thing and end up as another. A message may have started as a discussion of vendors for a new dog grooming table, but drifted until it ended up being about the company potluck on Friday. Don't be afraid to start a new message. When you keep related messages together in separate threads, one idea or project per thread, you make it easier for your readers to manage their messages. Imagine your readers trying to decide which folder they want to archive the message to so they can get it out of their inbox. Does it go in vendors or social activities? Make it an easy choice.
