- [Instructor] Constructing a building, installing a roadway or replacing a facility's plumbing system never happens instantly. It always takes time. It's important to accurately convey the time it will take in our proposal. You should be clear about the specifics of a duration or schedule of a project. Make clarifications on your proposal to avoid any confusion or controversy during the project. If a project is expected to take 100 days to complete, clarify that those 100 days are working days and not calendar days if that's the case. If your labor crew is planning on working during the evening rather than the standard day shift, make that clear. If there's a possibility of compressing or shortening the schedule for an additional price, you should add that as an add alternate price. Are there other timing aspects of the project the owner should prepare for? For instance, you could say something like building elevators will not be usable for 10 to 12 hours while upgrades in the shaft…
