Connecting the dots
- If you heard the words, connect the dots, and we weren't talking about proposal writing, you would probably think about one of those connect the dot puzzles. Most of us have probably connected those dots, and even before we actually connected the dots, we saw a vague outline of what the picture would be. But then when we actually connected them, we could see the entire picture clearly. Did you ever miss a number dot or accidentally connect the wrong dots and had to go back and erase that line and then reconnect the dots in the correct order? Proposal writing is a lot like that. We have a vague idea of what we're supposed to be doing, know that we have to take the steps in the correct order, and occasionally try to bypass a stage or accidentally miss it and have to go back.
