- Have you ever asked a third party recruiter how they're different from their competition? Most recruiters say they're different, but when asked this question, they all say the same things. Like, I specialize in your profession. Or, I represent great opportunities. Or, I focus on what's most important to you, and have clients in your preferred location. So how do you differentiate from one recruiter to another? What questions should you ask, and more importantly, what answers should you expect? The only true differentiator between one third party recruiter and another, is them, and their track record. There are a number of questions you can ask, that will help you find the third party recruiter who's more likely to help you. First you want to determine if they can provide you with your basic needs. Do they specialize in the industry or profession you've targeted?
