- [Instructor] In this course, you'll learn how to create a website that's accessible to people with disabilities, using the WordPress content management system. This course is about WordPress, so you should be comfortable installing WordPress, adding themes and plugins, and be comfortable navigating settings in the WordPress admin. You'll also need a basic understanding of HTML and CSS. If you need a refresher, I do recommend watching WordPress Essential Training and the HTML Essential Training before starting this course. While you don't necessarily need to know JavaScript, a familiarity with what it is and how it's used will be useful. On the accessibility side, there are a few terms I'll use frequently you'll want familiarity with. WCAG, or W-C-A-G, refers to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, a standards recommendation published by the World Wide Web Consortium, or W3C. The W3C also sets the standards for…
