Protect the form from being edited
- [Instructor] When we have a form like this that we want to send to clients and customers or potential customers, we want to make sure that they can't change this form in any way. We only want them to be able to click or tap and fill in where we've allowed them to. There's a few ways that we can do this. The first way is on the Developer tab to click Restrict Editing. This is the easiest way, but it does have some gotchas. In the Restrict Editing pane that comes up on the right, I'm going to place a checkbox inside allow only this type of editing in the document, and from here, I can put in filling in forms. Once I'm ready, I'll click yes, start enforcing protection and I need to put in a password. Reenter it. And this is the first gotcha. You need to remember this password if you ever want to edit the document because you need to first turn this functionality off. And to do that, you need that password. So after I…
