Create Quick Parts to store formatted text
- [Instructor] Building blocks, also called quick parts, is a feature in Word that allows you to store and reuse blocks of formatting and content. You can store any type of content you plan on using again, tables, images, paragraphs, entire pages. If you can click and drag with your mouse to select it, you can store it and reuse it. This sounds useful even without a form, right? I use building blocks for creating scripts for these courses. For example, I might create a table very quickly. I might have one heading for a chapter and the next one to write what video I'm on. And I can write my script in between. I could shade this, make the text bold-faced, white, and add a few lines for my scripts. I can select this and in the insert tab, over here on the right, here's quick parts. I can choose save selection to quick part gallery. I'll give it a name. I'll call it video. The gallery is quick parts. And there's many…
