- [Instructor] Similar to icons, Word includes a number of predefined shapes you can add to your documents. The difference with shapes is we can type inside them. So let's explore shapes as we continue working with our Tech Connect document 0702, if you're catching up. Last thing we did is we added the icon that looks like a sun. Let's go ahead and click this to select it and hit your delete key on the keyboard to remove it. Instead, we might want to add something similar to the top of our page in this empty area. So we'll click after Tech Connect, but this time we're going to insert a shape and they behave a little bit differently than icons. Again, we'll go to the Insert tab on the ribbon, but this time we'll click the Shapes dropdown button, which gives us some categories, not as many as we saw with icons, but there are lines and rectangles.
