- [Instructor] We've all seen documents like this. All this text is crammed in together and it's really hard to read. Now, we could fix this by placing the Enter key and making new paragraph marks, but how do we know where to make those? We can get some help with that by something called "formatting marks". Up here on the Home ribbon tab, you can see the paragraph mark icon. If I hover my mouse over it, it says "Show and hide paragraph marks." If I click that, here's where we can see all the invisible formatting marks that occur on this document. In fact, if you never use formatting marks for any other purpose, use it to know where this button is, because I guarantee you're going to hit it by accident one day and your document is going to be covered by all these weird characters and you're not going to know where they came from.
