- [Instructor] Let's now look at policies that come with default domain installation or domain configuration. So just to recap, when you are creating a domain for your active directory environment, the very first thing you do is actually install a domain controller. So the configuration here consists of a domain that has one domain controller. So when you do a DC promo and create your domain, the default domain policy gets created. And since you have a domain controller, the default domain controller policy also gets created. Now, the key thing to keep in mind that the default domain policy is inherited by all the objects in your active directory domain. So if you create a, for example, a new organizational unit, as you can see, default domain policy actually gets inherited. In this case, we have the default domain policy as enforced, but if we just check the box to not enforce it, you'll see that it still gets applied.
