Adding a second domain controller or child domain
- [Instructor] I have one domain controller in my domain and forest and I'd like to add a second one. So I'm logged into a different Windows 2022 server. One of the first things we need to do is to make sure the DNS is pointing to the other domain controller. Otherwise it won't be able to find it. So if I click on Ethernet, and click on Change adapter options, I'm going to right click on my Network Connection, and go to where it says TCP/IPv4, and point it to my other server. Now I know my other server is 21.129. Now I need to install the Active Directory domain services tools. So I'll go through the Add Roles and Features Wizard, and go to where it says Active Directory Domain Services, just like I did for creating the first domain controller. Click Add Features, Next.
