- [Instructor] Finding the problem when physical network issues arise is sometimes easy, like reconnecting and disconnecting an ethernet cable or making sure the remote node is turned on and available. When you're using wi-fi, though, there are a lot more things to consider. With a laptop, perhaps it's something as simple as re-enabling wi-fi or turning off airplane mode. As you can see, these options are available from the task bar in the network icon. Here, wi-fi is turned on because it's blue. But if you see yours as turned off, go ahead and click it again to enable it. The same is true for airplane mode. It should be gray if you're trying to connect your network. If it isn't, click it to toggle it off. If you check these two things but still can't connect, make sure the local router is plugged in and turned on, and that you're in range of a network and connected to it.
