Configure Windows Remote Management
- [Instructor] Windows Remote Management, referred to as WinRM, is part of Windows hardware management technology. WinRM allows administrators to manage server hardware, both locally and remotely from a command line. WinRM has several components. The scripting API is used to obtain data from remote computers using scripts. WinRM is a command line tool that uses Visual Basic scripts to perform tasks. And winrs.exe is a command line tool that remotely executes those commands. The intelligent platform management interface driver, and WMI provider are used to control and diagnose remote hardware. WMI is a service that provides control using a WMI plugin. WS management protocol is firewall friendly, and it allows systems to communicate effectively, even if they use different vendors.
