Create subnets
- [Instructor] To create subnets, we have to go to the VPC dashboard and select subnets, and start the process of creating first an IP version 4 and then an IP version 6 subnet. First of all, clicking subnets, we can view the subnets that are currently being utilized by the two VPCs that are in this account. If we scroll to the right, we can see that we have the default VPC and the production_explore VPC that we created earlier in another demo. Scrolling to the right, we can see the ranges of addresses for the IP version 4 CIDR and the IP version 6 CIDR. If you're like me, the IP version 4 CIDRs are easier to get in my brain where the IP version 6 CIDRs are just massive hexadecimal numbers. Create subnet, we have to pick a network, we'll pick production, and we have to pick an availability zone. We'll first start with 1a.
