- Hi, welcome to Video Post Production Weekly. I am joined by the fabulous, Eran Stern. - And here with me is that talented Nick Harauz. - And we're here to talk to you about the basics of 3D. Now this includes both 2.5D or flat objects, as well as real 3D extruded objects that have depth. - So we're going to discuss the difference between 2D and 3D. And then talk a bit about the non-visible objects element that you will find in a 3D scene. We'll mention some render engines and offer some advice for working with 3D layers in comp. - So let's start with a little bit of the differences between 2D and actual 3D. With 2D, if you've worked in video editing and after effects with flat graphics, you'll know exactly what 2D is. You can take these objects and you can move them left and right, that's known as the x-axis or move it up and down, that's known as the y-axis.
