Cleaning up a mask in Ultra Keyer
- Matte generation creates just the first matte, but we need to use the Matte Cleanup tools to refine this. Now, before I start to clean it up, I'll quickly switch over to the composite image. Again, look at how shadows and highlights our affecting that transition zone. So I'm going to make sure that we don't have any unintended holes here. Then switch back to the Alpha Channel and switch over to the Matte Cleanup. Now underneath the nose here, we're seeing a little bit of shadow. Notice there, as I choke this, it pulls in the matte a bit. If we look at the composite, you can really see what's happening there. It's eroding from the edge. Now, don't go too far, but a little pull-in can be helpful. And then we can soften that just a bit and put a little bit of contrast into the edge and look at how that's changing the transition zone there on the lips. Now I'll play a little bit more with the highlight and the shadows.…
