What is motion control?

- Hi, my name is Rich Harrington. - And I'm Robbie Carman. - And welcome to this week's episode of Video Gear Weekly. Rob, last week we took a look at time-lapsed shooting, and also just regular sliders using a rail type system, and really putting the camera into motion. - Yeah, and it's a great way to sort of livelying up your shots, and getting some interesting and sort of more unique shots. - And for this, we used a specific system, the eMotimo TB3. Well, I want to dig a bit deeper into this system, because it's not just for time-lapse. It works for video. It can be used for tabletop shooting. It's a motion controlled robot, and Rob, what's "motion control"? - Motion control is repeatable motion, and being able to control that motion, and being able to program it to your specifications. - So, if you want the camera to be tilted and panned in a certain degree increment, you can do that, but the important part is that you can repeat that.
