Now, as we're getting ready to deploy our application, let's talk about data privacy and security. Data privacy and security, as well as compliance, are their own areas of expertise and speciality. But let's go over the basics to cover the important information we should know. Now, depending on your country and state, there are different regulations. For example, California and Colorado have their own privacy legislation. Now, for this video, I'm going to focus on GDPR, which is a European standard because it is quite comprehensive and covers many topics. I'm going to go to the EU website here, and it has a few explanations on important topics. Let's start off with personal data. So when we're building applications, we want to make sure that we're capturing the right amount of personal data. Sometimes we'll need it, sometimes we won't.
