- Let's get into the nitty-gritty. To analyze the data set, there are a ton of tools out there to make sense of your data and help you visualize correlations. In this video, we'll talk through some tools for analyzing qualitative data. Qualitative data is often open-ended, many times in the form of transcripts of conversations. If you don't have transcripts, the first tool you might need is Otter.ai. Otter is a tool that lets you drag and drop audio or video files into it and it automatically transcribes them. It's not perfect, but it does a pretty good job, unless a participant mumbles or maybe has a strong accent. Either way, you can edit any mistakes in the transcript pretty easily. The best part about this tool is that it transcribes within minutes and even matches speaker voices. So if you label one speaker with a name, for example, Sarah, it will automatically readjust to match the same voice in other places to…
