- We've looked at interfaces for watch, mobile, and TV screens, but what about devices that don't have a screen? We want our apps to be accessible through voice devices to maintain a holistic user experience with our app. Voice is offered on the major platforms. Cortana for Windows, Siri for Apple, Google Assistant for Google, and Alexa for Amazon. While each platform has its own way of approaching voice, there are some commonalities and guidelines that are useful for each platform. Some overarching guidelines. Define your core tasks. Create clear and personable responses. And prototype your dialogue. When designing for voice, distill the core task that you think could be best handled by a voice interaction.
