- Content can be delivered on any device, 2 but some devices are better suited for particular tasks. 3 To better understand how you're going to design 4 for a multi-device scenario, 5 you'll need to understand the user, 6 the tasks they want to complete, 7 and environmental constraints. 8 This is referred to as context of use. 9 Context of use 10 is understanding the conditions and environments 11 in which the user interacts with your product. 12 Context of use is important for any design project 13 but especially critical 14 for designing a multi-device experience 15 because you'll need to understand how your users 16 are going to use a product from wherever they are. 17 For example, desktops and laptops 18 are useful for complex tasks 19 with all features and capabilities accessible. 20 Writing a technical document and inventory tracking 21 are good tasks for desktop 22 'cause they require a keyboard and a mouse as an…
