- It is through phrases that we can communicate distinct musical ideas. When the melody is accompanied by words, like in a song, it's much easier to understand the phrases. However, I want you to start listening to phrases when they don't contain any words, because you can use these to your advantage. In Premiere Pro, expand at Sequences, Chapter Two and double click the sequence named 2.2 Phrases. Let's play some of these. (piano playing) This is the introduction. Phrase one. Breath. (clicking) Of course, this is so easily understood. If you put words, let's go to the next one. (violin playing) Second phrase. I'll stop this. Can you hear them?
