- Like PR, generative AI is based on language and communication, so you can use it for many writing-related tasks, and it spits out mounds of text fast. Sometimes, the output is surprisingly good, other times, not so much, and you need to figure out when to use AI to augment your team and produce better results. Now, AI works well for brainstorms and connect like an idea machine, then it's your job to sort through the AI slop, what tech people refer to as cliched or boring AI content, and stitch together say, two parts of AI, with one part of your own creative work. With practice, your human-AI collaboration will dream up lots of novel ways to make your communications stand out. You can use AI to write the first draft of a news release or blog post. Just give it examples of your previous work for style and tone, or better yet, start with your own rough draft and ask the AI to act as a critical second pair of eyes.
