Before beginning this course, I really doubted that badges could be a motivator for my target audience. However, now I can see that if done will badges will provide an additional incentive to help my students learn and move toward their goals. Of course, there were other important pieces to this presentation as well, such as creating a points system and using low stakes contests to engage learners. This has definitely been a valuable learning module.
