- [Instructor] When it comes to gathering data for projects you might be taking on, the reality is you're likely to have access to lots of different data sources. You'll probably have proprietary data, like customer data that you can turn to. You're likely to have publicly available data. The U.S. Census Bureau has a very large repository of data that can be accessed by anybody, and the Federal Reserve has a great data tool called FRED, which we've already discussed. Now, these types of data sources are great, but the question is, what data is it you need? There's a wealth of data out there, and you've got to make sure that you're pulling relevant data to the question you're trying to answer, rather than just pulling all of the data that you could possibly find.
