Light linking using Lighting Channels

- [Tutor] Hi, I'm George Maestri. Today we're going to take a look at ways to better control your lighting using light channels. Now this is a kind of a little used feature in Unreal and it's very similar to Maya's light linking. And this will allow you to link specific lights to specific geometry in Unreal. Now, it's used mostly for things such as cinematic to make the lighting pop, but you can really use it just about anywhere. So here we have a simple scene. And we've got basically three lights in here, we've got a left and a right spotlight and we also have a center light. Now, I've turned down this center light, but we are going to be working with this mostly. And so if it won't, we could turn up the intensity of this. So I'm going to turn up the intensity pretty bright to about 200 and as you can see, it has a definite effect. Now, let's say we wanted a light to highlight portions of the scene and just to illuminate or make a certain object in the scene pop, say the couch here…
